"You think you're getting on well with someone but without warning you're blocked.
Do you just shrug your shoulders and move on!?"
Surely that's the preferable option? What other choices are there? Post a thread? Have a whinge? Long for what might have been? |

Sorry to hear.
There should usually be a reason. Something they dont like on your profile, something you have said or maybe they came across veris they didnt like. All sorts really but shame they didnt tell you why they were going to block you. |

Yeah I'd wonder for a while why they'd blocked me if we'd been getting one well.
On the other hand if they haven't got the balls to tell me maybe it's just as well they did. |

"Absolutely not OP.
You then need to use their number to look them up on Facebook and pester them on there instead.
Don't forget to use reverse image search on the saved photos you have of them. "
If anyone did that with my face photo they'd just find a load of old poems |

I know I've actually got quite a wicked forum persona but I don't find that amusing, even in jest. |

Then what did you think the answer would be, if not "yes"? As many have asked, what is the alternative here then? |

To be fair, I wasn't saying you'd do that but someone did do that to me... I gave him a mouthful & blocked him every which way. Definitely learned my lesson though. |

I got blocked by a bloke because I tore a strip off him , because he sent me a pic of him with a couple their faces in full view ..
Didn't get the concept of discretion obviously.
Aren't I glad I didn't send my face pic to him or my number ..
Tool ! |

"No, no! You open up 5 new accounts and harass the person from those.
Or have I been doing it wrong? "
we've already been blocked by 3 of our new accounts.
We're still waiting for face pics from the other 2.
Fingers crossed.

You'd have to read between the lines a bit to be honest. I
"
we are both obviously taking it on face value, yes i agree he has to just forget it and move on, but i wouldnt automatically blame him x |

It's not the being blocked that particularly bothers me, that's peoples choice. It's the fact that I would appear to have upset, hurt or annoyed a person so much, without realising it, that they've felt they've had to block me. |

... and without the chance to apologise or make it right. I know what you mean. x
They may have replied to your mail and hit the 'reply and block' button (or whatever it's called). No way of knowing if it was on purpose or accidental.
Hope you feel better today. |

That's happened to me before & I'd met the person Like SS said they could have hit the block button by mistake it's easily done.
I've just left them unblocked my end in case they want to get back in touch.
If not you know the ole saying ~ "its their loss"

I do a heavy sigh. Shrugging shoulders takes effort. A heavy sigh is an increase of oxygen, so has health benefits as well. |

Why do they have to be hurt or upset to block you? They could gave gotten bored by you, realised you weren't compatible (just because you thought you were getting on ok doesn't mean they felt the same), there are lots of reasons why but to obsess over them is a waste of time. |

Thank you everybody, know it wasn't a mistake on their part, new day, shrugging shoulders and sadly moving on.
Not an ironing board, cheeky sod, it's a quickly to be removed arty shoot of my derrière, taken for one of those stupid "today's thread" themes!
