So driving home from work the first single I ever bought came on - Ini Kamoze - Here comes the Hotstepper and I was happily singing along.
So the question is - what was the first single you bought ? And do you still love it ? |

Hate it every time this question pops up as it forces me to embarass myself by giving the honest answer which is the 7 or 8 year old me I bought two at the same time which were....wait for it....Long Haired Lover From Liverpool by Jimmy Osmond and Nice One Cyril by The Cockerel Chorus...
...as a Spurs fan I can forgive myself the latter one...the first I just cringe and claim the innocence of youth!!
First "proper" single however was Slap & Tickle by Squeeze

Just thinking what the first album I bought was and it was called Ragga Heat Reggae Beat . My musical tastes weren't the norm in the South Wales Valleys lol |

I can't remember the first single I bought but the first album I bought was Sunny Side Up- Wilbert Longmire.
First single might have been Ant Music -Adam and the Ants. |

Paint it Black. I think it cost me 7/6d in the old real money. Still got it somewhere in the garage with all the rest of the vinyl. Must get a USB deck one day and transfer them all. |
