How does taking Gaviscon GIVE you heartburn - I give up!!

Yes, I have heartburn - took some Gaviscon and instead of soothing as it normally does it's made it worse!!

Because the effects of swallowing it will increase the production of stomach acid. Same as anything you swallow. So it can get worse before it gets better.

Put mint gaviscon on your kebab.......then you don't get heartburn.....my mate Mike Pennington swears by it!
