The effects of aggressive and 'violent' music on people but they don't seem to think about the effects of sad and lovelorn music. The radio at work is fixed on Heart and it's doing my head in!
What dear fabbers are your opinions?

Once a friend and I decided to do some radio surfing on the Internet and selected a radio station broadcasting from Antarctica.
Within 30 minutes we deduced that it was the best station that one could listen to before committing suicide.
Most depressing broadcast i have ever listened to, and I hope to God I will never hear a close competitor to that. |

Music can influence mood. There have been countless studies made into it.
Slower tunes, 20-70 bpm are good for chillng out to
Dance, upbeat or punk can increase work capacity - anything between 70-80 bpm
Any music between 80-120 bpm is good for a work out
However there was a song in the 90s...self bias resistor was actually banned in several countries from being played live because it fell into the 180bpm, classifying it as gabba techno....if played loud with enough bass it can actually throw the heart off its natural rhythem.

I want to figure out what's the best thing to do to improve the sound in a navara...there's nowhere to stick a traditional sub box..
Is it worth replacing the standard speakers in the doors?
Maybe a custom box that fits under the rear bench seat?
I've seen under seat sub things for sale but no idea if they're worth it...
I don't want a silly system..just a better bottom end and a reasonable clarity..doesn't need to crank up mad loud.
Probably about 400 quid to play with... |

Heart, Smooth & all the rest, coma inducing bland shop music. Bland is far more depressing than depressing music I reckon. least with the likes of Radiohead or The Smiths you know it's coming & what to expect, All I ever think when some Wet Wet Wet drivel or whatever comes on is "Some fcker got rich selling this shit! which now fills charity shop bins up & down the length of the country"

You could get something sounding nice for £400.
If you're getting door speakers you'll want a headunit too, you can buy under the seat subs. Or plenty of brands do shallow mount subs too.
Look at hertz for door speakers, alpine/pioneer for head units |

Head unit is double din..am guessing i can fit a standard in there..there will be a 'converter' for lack of a better word from double to single?
And...i shall have a look on line..am guessing the online shopping bay will have plenty sellers? |

Not quoting all that lol
Just buy one those shelves to fill the gap. That's all mine has. I use an alpine 177BT can't go wrong with alpine.
If you can stretch your budget look into hertz mille pros ive just upgraded to hertz 1650.3 legends...they are unreal top of the line from hertz that rock up at £669, the clarity is amazing though. I've just bought some sundown Zv415s too so can recommend sundown for the sub they do shallow mount ones too. think it's the SD models
Basically headunit - alpine or pioneer
Sub - sundown audio or JL audio
Budget subs - JBL or bassface .2 series
Speakers - hertz or focal
And buy components not coaxial
Id recommend just biting the bullet and going full on SPL though |
