Cook some bacon then chop up quickly, toast one side of bread turn over apply bacon and cover with thick slices cheddar or red leicester with a sprinkling of paprika on top.
Allow to melt & scoff

It completely depends on the type of bread used to make toast, as they all have their qualities. Unhealthy, mass produced, thin sliced white bread and I prefer it cold before the butter/spread goes on. Otherwise, its best melted in whilst hot.
Cheddar cheese is a good all rounder though, sliced not grated, then grilled. Otherwise, apricot or peach jam is the 'go to' for me.
I really was about to make some toast before I discovered this topic, honest. Supergrain farmhouse with butter only, if you must know. I get whatever is reduced to clear and freeze it, so it's not my usual. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

We have breakfast out a lot in Oz .... Bacon sausage egg etc - add a dollop of strawberry jam on your plate next time and taste .... Bet you love it darling xx this toast bacon strawberry jam - yum |
