Mazzy Star. She invokes emotions. Lovely voice. Many of her songs bring me close to tears in the right/wrong moment. Maybe it's her voice.
Fade into you. |

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt. It makes me cry but only when I'm d*unk and since I've stopped drinking it doesn't anymore. Also if you think Johnny Cash version is better then I hope you'll die a very long and painful death |

"Athlete - wires
Reduces us both to tears, youngest was very poorly when born which coincided with this song
Luckily he's fine now "
I heard this when my youngest was in intensive care, absolutely destroyed me and I still struggle if it comes on the radio now, 3 years on and like yourself a positive outcome

It depends on my mood, if I'm in a great mood no song will make me cry.
Fire and Rain - James Taylor
Carry me Home - James Blunt
Both remind me of someone I lost.

Wind Beneath My Wings. I never paid much attention to the song until they played it when it was time to carry my best friends coffin into the church.
Now - It gets me every bloody time.
If I never heard the song again I wouldn't miss it. |

Cranberries- zombie... But I try to avoid it. It was playing when my mother passed, many years ago. It still brings back too many memories, and emotions that I have tried to suppress. |

"No music makes me cry, sorry
Swinging brick for a heart!
* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjynIAeh1tU
"
Actually, I *can* think of one instance when I cried to music.
It was following my first Burning Man, so I'd been having my sense of normality smashed all week, hadn't really slept, done a bunch of illegal things and then Danny and I had to drive 800 miles back to Vegas to return the motorhome. He drove through the night, I cleaned the motorhome. Neither of us had slept for a few days.
God knows where we were but we stopped after dawn and got out of the motorhome.
At that moment the British national anthem - God Save the Queen - came on the radio. No idea why.
I was soooo strung out, thousands of miles from home... and I just burst into tears.

That was 12 years ago.
I loathe the national anthem - everything it stands for - but in that moment it reminded me just how far I was from home.
I was very 'tired and emotional' |

Lots of songs make me cry for numerous reasons. I relate a lot of life experiences to music.
The last songs though to draw real tears where whilst watching Les Miserable.
Come To Me & Bring Him Home. |

"Anything by Justin Bieber.
What do you mean?"
He makes me sob. How can he be so bad.! I cry thinking how he's ruined pop music just by being in the charts. |

Is it too late to say sorry?
For asking... |
