Is it me or are there a lot of "singles" on here with pics that look like David Bailey is their best mate and owes them a favour? Mine are all just plain ol' selfies  |

Actually I have managed before. I use my laptop camera for my shots and good old PhotoBooth so I can have been known to press the enter key with my toe to take a pic. |

Mine are (mostly) hand held selfies on my IPhone. If not then it's propped up and timer is used but the phone usually topples over just as it's about to go off |

Most ladies on here are very good at photos...they have an eye for detail.
An eye, a big toe and a nipple...then theres the lips followed by the radiator full of socks and cheap bed linen. |

All my pics are selfies either with or without use of timer...yet to use the selfie stick! Would love some more professional pics...just need to find a day when I'm feeling thinner, sexier, hotter, a good hair & skin day, house isnt a bombsite oh and I have new undies that I havent already been snapped....apart from that I'm good to go!! |

All mine are selfies,I'm not a great photographer but through trial n error have found what works for me.
For every pic on my profile there was at least 10 that didn't make the grade.
Most smart phones now have easy to use pic editing,crop n filter type stuff.
If I can do it so can a trained monkey! |

There must be a big difference between sport pics where it's entirely spontaneous and a posed pic. I appreciate what you're saying though about the final percentage of pics actually considered suitable. |

There's posing and there's posing...
I tend to avoid completely 100% staged images and instead go for directed motion... does that make sense?
So instead of saying like "1 inch left, up a bit, smile more... snap". I'll say "do what feels comfortable, have a bit of fun, but try to keep your hand out of the way of your..." and snap a few hundred frames. |

I also sell IT kit to other photographers, and believe me the size of hard disk they need...
I can shoot 18,400 photos on my memory card, but I'll still change it every few hours at a decent sports event. Not done adult shoots that last that long! |

Now that depends! If I'm going to be in someone's area anyway, or I don't mind visiting a mate and doing a shoot while I'm there, then I might be tempted. But then I drive hundreds of miles a week for barely any reason at work.

I'm a photographer and like doing pictures of myself I have to be super careful and make sure I format my SD cards before I go to a wedding or something... That could be slightly awkward |

My pics are shit id love some decent one done, im just not very good at having pics done, im not one for posing and just feel a twat and end up looking like one, plus im really not photogenic at all so kind of begrudge paying a professional photographer when i know i'll just look a dork

I have the studio backdrops, strobes,slave flashes, decent Canon camera.. Yep Canon, not nikon (that should provoke a couple of responses) and a lens for every eventuality...
And i use my camera phone to take my personal pictures..
By the time I set that lot up, I have lost the will to live, let alone take a photo..
The cameras on phones are really good now..
A great photo is 30% thought, 30% composition, 30% post processing and 10% subject...

"I have the studio backdrops, strobes,slave flashes, decent Canon camera.. Yep Canon, not nikon (that should provoke a couple of responses) and a lens for every eventuality...
And i use my camera phone to take my personal pictures..
By the time I set that lot up, I have lost the will to live, let alone take a photo..
The cameras on phones are really good now..
