Proper west country scrumpy, ideally single variety made from Kingston Black apples. Which reminds me I should probably sort out an order for some apple trees as it will soon be tree planting season. |

 Rattler is nice for a Cornish cyder (spelt with a 'Y' down there ) if not a little sweet and definitely for the Commercial market.
Of the mass market ciders Thatchers Haze is decent but get to Somerset, pop into some local farm shops, and there's some excellent stuff to be found! |

It would have to be pear cider. I went to a Cider festival a few years back where it was home made kind of stuff and that put me off apple cider for life. |

Erm, ever wishing to enlighten and being a pedant, there is no such thing as pear cider. Cider is made from apples, Perry is made from pears. Good looks and beauty must have come at a price!  |

I got absolutely wankered on Rattler several years ago..it's got a great beer tap..
I will normally go for draught Aspalls now it's sold most places.. It's really good with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. |

Along the remember thought....Red Rock, awful chemical taste and shocking colour.
Love a bottle of Thatchers Gold but also partial to a Lilleys Valley Sunshine or a Thatchers Cheddar Valley, the latter I find has the effect of getting me d*unk from the feet up so I can hold a decent conversation but when I get up to use the toilet I fall over |

There's a farm over near my ex inlaws that makes a thing called "Janets Jungle Juice".
It's won prizes. Its ver' good (and semi-lethal).

Also, I once had "proper" Thatchers in a pub in Wincanton. I genuinely lost myself for a bit. It was lush until it kicked me in the head. |

Years and years ago when I worked at butlins in minehead, we used to get a gallon of scrumpy delivered every week by the farmer from up the road ...
