There seems to be an increasing number of them. It's breeding season I think. It amazes me how they get in.

I've heard they don't like the smell of peppermint.

Get a cat.

Ours are at dealing with arachnids and winged bugs

Google how many spiders live in the average UK house. You will be surprised I am sure

I just googled spiders in a house and according to a university it's males that are wandering about searching for a mate.. ..

Seems even single male spiders can't get a meet and have it tough ..

(Nessa)

Read up on new magic potion recipes and witches brew ingredients...get a cauldron on the cooker. (Enter evil laugh here )

Be surprised how they are never around when you need them.

Spidy kisses,

Nessarosa

I wouldn't worry about them it's the flys and other insects you need to worry about. I spider could potentially save your life!

absolutely;

I used to catch them with one hand, open the back door with the other and release them back into the garden, but the ones ive caught lately, you need both hands to hold them in, they are bloody big and large leg span, run fast too, but its a pain trying to open door and keep in hands at same time to release them back into garden.

Like someone said , conkers at the edge of the room. I like spiders though so don't mind having them about as I hate flies.

Great Yarmouth

Living on a boat I used to encourage them to be inside, rather see the blighters than being bit by mosquito's. But chestnuts really do work as do witch-hazel.

Conkers.

Practicing shot put technique with a suitably large book (Next Directory is a personal fave)

Ninja dyson manoeuvres

Squealing until someone despatches the little fucker for you

Flame throwers

Napalm

Maybe I'll stick with conkers.

There aren't really more coming in, most are already in your home just hidden. But it is mating season and being horny they have come out of hiding to get some spider action.

So your home if full of horny spiders on the pull.

You are welcome

I had a female GBT she was gorgeous but as for male spiders having it tough the life expectancy of a female goliath is about 20yrs give or take the males live about 4 and thats if theyre lucky enough to survive their first mating encounter

Definitely conkers and prick them with a pin first (the conkers not the spiders) they don't like the smell apparently

I've learned to get used to them. Anti-anxiety medication helps

Although a huge one in the toilet doesn't get to stay.

My dog deals with any he spots and doesn't drop them on my lap, like cats do.
