People on trial for "running a brothel". Apparently a clean club, girls well paid....none "trafficked", a few well known clients apparently...... what was the harm?

You refer to it as a 'clean club' op - is that from a hygiene standards perspective? How was it for swinging? It's apparently old news about a group breaking an old law - running a brothel.
