Interesting to see the pack mentality being illustrated in the forums today.

So many threads where the (admittedly often stupid) OP is getting ripped to shreds by the "outraged" majority.

So much bile and so little time...who knew self righteous moral outrage could become a hobby?

Ha ha...so now I'm the barbecue sauce coated gazelle sunbathing ill advisedly on the open plains..oh well.

I said "poor guy"...but I didn't particularly mean it..he was a bit of a knob...but the way everyone jumped on him was a bit unwarranted...and with such nastiness. He was (skilfully and funnily) manipulated into giving the alleged girl's location too.

I don't want to get bogged down in the particulars of one thread here as the point I was bringing up was about the group dynamic that often happens in here. And yes I think pack mentality is the right description. It's exactly the same thing as happens in real world situations...except that in the real world when people are face to face people are rarely so honest/blunt opinionated etc.

Fascinating things these humans.

Yeah..you are dead right....there is a sheep element going on too...so many posters will often, subconciously I guess, side with the popular _iew of the last few posters and it becomes a movement. A trend in opinion.

Multiple peoples disagreeing with one person doesn't necessarily mean that there is a pack mentality. Sometimes it means that one person did something outrageously wrong that many, non-connected, people found bad enough to comment on.

And quite a few people on here will tell you I am quite as honest/blunt/opinionated in real life as on here.

are you talking about the lad in a certain grocery shop? It was a bit of a pack hunt

He he..yeah...that was one...poor guy got a new bum hole ripped for him.

I didn't really see that as 'pack mentality'. I think that 'poor boy' did a number of things that the majority of users have a poor opinion of. What exactly is the alternative, where people are only supposed to post positive comments on threads?

Quite often I notice a flow to these things. Take something that is less one sided (e.g. bareback / married guys / politics). The first 20 responses go one way, then someone chips in with the counter _iew and suddenly the next 20 responses go the opposite way. D'ya know what I mean?

Yeah..you are dead right....there is a sheep element going on too...so many posters will often, subconciously I guess, side with the popular _iew of the last few posters and it becomes a movement. A trend in opinion. "

Sometimes I read a thread and see all the replies going one way, so I think "ah fuck it, I'll say something different". Then I come back later expecting to have been slaughtered and it's just people agreeing with me. Such a let down

"Interesting to see the pack mentality being illustrated in the forums today.

He he...that's the way to play things on here...having opinions but not emotionally investing yourself...otherwise you just put a hook in your own mouth.

Yes he was goaded to give details but I don't think anyone expected him to actually reply so much details. Poor girl I felt for her and she's not even on here to defend herself x

Don't be. The good thing about this forum is that there will be another one of those posts along soon.

Think you've hit on another point..so many of these "hunts" are obstensibly based around the defence of an inferred victim one which in many cases doesn't even exist. It's morally compelling but probably no more sensible.

Or something.

Would be quite surreal to hit the forums one day and it's full of women bragging/worrying about the size of their faux penises and us men with real but clitty sized penises tutting and wondering what all the fuss was about.

"Hyenas are pretty balsy actually...they don't quite know what to do when approached by a honey badger though.

Those fuckers are menthol!

Honey badgers are awesome. I am a fan of wolverines too, although they don't have to be Hugh Jackman.

Actually..you've just educated me....didn't think wolverines were a real thing.

They're related to badgers. And skunks "

honey badgers don't give a fuck they will take on a lion if they have too great escape artists too
