New kik privacy agreement in place from today.
People can find you, by your phone number, unless you update your privacy settings.
So if you use it, go and read the terms and check your settings. |

When you get Kik you can add your number but you don't have to!
I got the shock of my life as somebody who's email address I have had added their email to Kik so suddenly her PIC appears on my Kik asking if I wanted to add her!  this is why my Kik now has no pic of me as the avatar! |

Can't find any of those settings on Kik.
However Whatsapp is sending info to Facebook for targetted ads now by default. There was a time limit to changing this.
Its in settings...think it even mentions targetted ads or similar. |

What phone do you have?? This is where I look stupid ive looked on my phone and on kik for some sort of setting I can't find anything about syncing Please help |

Personally I hate Kik and much prefer WhatsApp and to use that they already need my contact number.
However I was unaware that it did what you said and checking it, it does continuously check your contact details etc to add them and it's enabled by default.
Sneakily I think it's strange that that option isn't where you would think it would be in the settings menu, almost as if it was made difficult to find on purpose.....
