Proud of the fact that I embrace diversity rather than 'accept' or 'tolerate' it, whether that is gender, sexual, colour, or ethnicity, or whatever. I even have friends that are Welsh, lol!
Sexually I'm heterosexual and would never play in any other way - but that doesn't mean you can't. But we can have a drink and a chat. |

I find it odd to be proud about anything that I had no control or choice over. I'm proud to be a father to three kids who are largely turning out great! Proud of my martial arts and creative work achievements. And proud that I always try to stand up against bullying and bigotry where I see it. |

Iceland, but Aldi is closer.. |
This is what I love about these sites and the forums or blogs in particular..
People are very accepting of each other, there is no bigotry, it's just not accepted.
Where else on the net could you openly say I am gay, bi, cross dresser, black, white...? That would be tant amount to an open request to a barrage of abuse and insults on almost any other blog.
Whether or not I meet anyone is irrelevant, the main draw of these sites is the ability to be open with other human beings without fear of ridicule or abuse..
I love all of you for being who you are...open and accepting.
if only all of societies were the same as that, the world would be a truly beautiful place. |

Im proud to be a Scouser as well. We are often given a bad name by people who are not proper scousers (they are of the plastic variety), but true scousers would give a stranger the shirt off their back to make sure the stranger was ok.
I'm also proud to be a army vet, dad to 4 beautiful kids (1 is my nephew but I see him as my son) and also a tolerant person who doesn't care about colour, creed, race etc etc etc.
Most of all I'm proud to be able to say how much I love my wife each and every day

I'm proud I made someone smile today. I'm proud of my children, and how they are growing. I'm proud of my businesses, and the one I have recently sold.
There are many things I am not proud of, but it is nice to admit I've done somethings well. |

Does this way of thinking not depend on where you were born as well, though? As in, if you're born in England that would mean that you'd be 1 part Irish to 4 parts English?

I'd likely consider myself English, as that's where I was born, with Irish descendency/heritage.
I find this a fascinating topic. Everyone has a different view on who they are as an individual, with so many variables going into that equation. Not to mention the views of those outside of the individual in question shaping both the individual's perception and that of society.
I sound like a pompous twat, don't I, haha |

I'm proud to be where I am now, I had a life most would die for , big car big house nice clothes but I wasn't happy.
I left and it wasn't easy , 5 yrs down the line I'm struggling being a single working mum to make ends meet my son wants designer clothes etc, but I'm very grounded so try to install that in my children. But if I've got it il give it to them and il go without easily.
I wouldn't change it even though my life's poo at times |
