Interestingly she was also 18 3 years ago, when she was campaigning for the drinking age to be lowered.
And thank God every article has managed to plug the nightclub involved, and the fact that drinks are normally cheaper there.

Sorry, OP. I just realised I forgot to answer your question.
My mother is Scottish and I spent many of my formative years in Yorkshire. So obviously I have no idea how I would react to the totally hypothetical scenario where I might find myself having to buy someone else a drink.
