Both. Melt some chocolate in a saucepan, make toast and slather it with butter, then spoon the chocolate on to the toast.

Reckon you can stretch to chocolate french toast.

Mix an egg with a drop of milk, dip the bread in it and fry gently in a little butter until golden brown, turn and cook the other side and put a few bits of chocolate on top to melt.

Sprinkle some caster sugar on top and enjoy.
