Has anyone ever fallen out with a great friend , not knowing the reason , they just remove you from their life ? ( this case met a man )

How do you deal with it ?

I've had to let it go . Today she gets married

I'm hurting today

Yes.

It's painful but it happens for a reason.

Yes, I lost too many friends to drugs. Making new ones seemed pointless for a long time .

Yes! I understand your pain and confusion. I've lost an 8 year and 11 year friendship. All because I started university and didn't have the time to hang out and kiss their butts like they adore people treating them. Some people think they're truly amazing and need lots of people worshipping / complimenting them daily.

I put up with their arrogant attitudes for years because I saw a different side to them I liked. Even though they were two very self loving women. Constantly slagging people off and putting down ladies that weren't deemed as pretty as them. Both continously cheated on their partners which I as a friend made excuses for them if their partner got suspicious. Something I deeply regret now.

Anyway, after I took a step back away from them (was tired of their nonsense after so long and due to me attending university),they didn't like my lack of attention towards them. As such I soon started hearing vile lies/gossip about me...including how I'm supposedly sleeping with my best friends husband. Hmm because apparently men and women can't be just friends . Turned out it was my two supposed friends who was churning out those hateful lies and gossip about me. Both in their 30's I may add so should be all grown up.

Op, sometimes people are just spiteful c**ts. Some people just thrive on attention and react badly when they no longer receive it. It's nothing you've done and their behaviour shows up their true colours. It's hurtful sure but now you've seen who your REAL friends are and who never was your real friend.

I wouldn't attend the wedding for worry how she'll react. On a day like that, you wouldn't want to risk being involved in a potential negative scene. Smile OP and carry on making new friends instead! After all stress is a killer! . P.s sorry for the essay! Lol.

I haven't - but I'm incredibly cautious about who becomes a friend in the first place.

I'm not sure really. Ive always known the reasons for falling out.

If I didn't I would ask and try to make-up.

How do you know you have fallen out and not just lost contact.

Why do you say you have been replaced by this man?

There are too many unknowns to comment really.

I know when I got together with my partner one of our friends did not like it. But we both liked them, we just sat and talked. Of course a partner will be more important and as they have kids and work gets in the way contact will drop away. But it does not equate to falling out.
