Hi all, myself and Mrs would like to take more photos of ourselves and wonders if anyone could offer advice on what poses/positions are the most flattering for larger couples.
We are both bigger Than we want to be and have bits we don't like but would like to try and take some nice saucy shots.
Any advice greatly received

Use unusual camera angles/tilting.
Shoot from above looking up to the camera.
Use fabrics or other props to distract the eye.
Look at where the light is coming from and utilise it to create slimming/flattering shadows.
Try to make your best features dominant in the frame to draw the eyes away from those areas you feel don't flatter you as much.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer.. |
Couple of tricks.
If using a dslr, close the appurture down, f22 maybe..it'll flatten the image but means longer exposure time so up the iso and place the camera on a solid surface to avoid shake.
Soft lighting, daytime with curtains closed or a thin white sheet over the window to diffuse the light will avoid harsh shadows.
Dappled light from a shaded woodland also works a treat to create differing contrasts.
Ultimately, be body confident and have fun...That then will come through in your pictures. |
