"lol, head n Ostrich scenario "
I met one couple the last time i was here and after 3 meets she threw a fit and wouldn't meet again because she said her partner was getting too interested in me. Hilarious really as he was ok but she was the hot one. |

Is it?!!
I'd have thought swinging couples would be more secure than to think one would run off with a meet! Blimey, more opportunity of one running off with John/Jane from Finance etc after daily shared conversation over the water cooler! |

Do you really think that?
I think the ones who are secure with their partner don't have those worries at all. |

I do think that and i also believe half of the people who profess to be secure with their partners have doubts and major worries. Nobody likes to voice their insecurities at the best of times. Do you really think all the men who let other guys in on a MMF with their partner never worry she is going to disappear with a potential better lover? It happens everyday in society and it is more likely to when you encourage your partner to have sex with other people. I think a lot just don't face up to things and live in ivory towers. |

Swingers in general are more naturally promiscuous and have different values to Janet and John so its more likely to happen as opposed to people at the other end of the scale who tend to be more liberal and possibly more religious. |

when we started swinging it was a slight concern, the unknown and all that, but we have found that over the last 6 years we have become closer than ever and have not one even little niggling doubt, deep trust along with love is a fantastic and lovely state for a relationship, i feel more evolved as human being as we have eliminated the horrible and negative emotion of jealousy x |

I agree with everything emm says. we talk about our feelings all the time and we are much closer since starting this life style.i would never run off with a meet as hubby and i have much more fun after the guy has gone home. love and trust is everything. after 40 years together we are still in love. |

I have seen 3 so far breaking up with swinging having some blame for it. But to be honest in a couple of cases one half of the couple wasn't very nice so i think it would have happened anyway. |

in mho.. if a couple isnt secure in thier relationship before they start swinging, and only do so to save their relationship then swinging will be the camel that broke the straws back.. so to speak.
but go into this with, love , respect, understanding and fantastic communication and its amazing... yes jelousy can creep in sometimes.. like " did she give you a better blow job than me?" but its like getting worked up about eating a fave meal out . its a nice change and it might taste fantastic.. but its not the same as the same meal cooked at home with love..
HSM waffling again..... |

It's not the kind of thing people will openly talk about or admit. There's a lot of jealousy and upset caused and a fair few break ups.
Not everybody is cut out for this scene. In fact some only do it to keep their partner in the relationship.
Sad but true.

Incorrect.
We dont worry about it, because it isnt going to happen.
We are perfectly happy in our relationship, and there is nothing we could find with anyone else that could compare with what we have with each other.
We swing because its fun, its adds to our relationship, it does not replace something that isnt already there.
Bottom line, we are just a happy, horny couple lol! |

i think to swing you have to be incredibly secure...not insecure!
..and why would anyone run away from a relationship that allows you to experiment with yourself and others if what you want is to experiment with yourself and others?

In a relationship you have to have complete trust and security whether it be a swinging relationship or general relationship.
I seriously dont defererentiate between jay going off on a swinging meet to him going for a game of bridge. The thought of him going off with someone else wouldnt even flicker in my head.
If hes going to go off with someone else im sure he could do it in any circumstances/situation |

I know mine doesn't worry. In fact I would go as far as to say the more I enjoy myself with another man in a MFM situation , the more it turns him on.
No other man in a MFM could ever be better than my OH as we have more than just sex between us.
Even if a person did something mind blowing in sex, I doubt if that would make someone run off with a man, a relationship is based on more than sex normally.
But, I suppose that is the diffference with feeling secure and not feeling secure. The people who don't feel secure in my opinion shouldn't be playing these games. |

There are lots of people who suffer and you're right, noone talks about it.
There are also lots of partners who are looking for the extra spark and use swinging as a way of achieving that. Im wondering how many men really do enjoy seeing their partner with another guy, or are they just saying that so they get to shag other women.
I do know that women on here have had messages from the men in a couple asking to meet up on his own, (lots of poorly wives on here). And there are men who do touch other women behind the wives back, perhaps at a party, following women into the kitchen to cop another quick feel or perhaps bag that illicit blow job. If that really is being upfront, why do men do this in secret. |

I believe that is probably true in some cases. |

To be honest until i happened across this thread it never crossed my mind.
But to be honest if your partners gonna run off with someone just cos they are a good shag they would have run off with someone sooner or later with or without swinging.
We have in the past made comment to each other about couples who we feel will split and we have been right every time.

Swinging is lots of things to lots of people and its good, but it wouldnt be worth leaving a secure relationship and home life for. If men or women are not happy, they will move on, regardless of whether or not you are swingers. Theres no point worrying about that, could happen anytime in any situation. |

The problems start when the fem from a swinging cpl decides she dos not want to meet cpls and it single guys on her own not three somes i hated every minute of it ,then she got her own profile witch i had no access to and then was told to get my own profile i did but as we know temptation is always there and a divorce will follow |

A lot of people swing, but not a lot are swingers. You may eat Italian food but it doesn't make you Italian.
I think the ability to be a genuine swinger is underestimated. Being able to detach fully and actually unconditionally enjoy your partner enjoying another person,,,,,,,it's not the kind of thing that comes naturally to many.
I think the chances of a person with a genuine swinger mentality 'running off' with a meet is slim. |
