I've been having trouble with an ASBO neighbour for a few months (since she came out of jail) and I was dealing with it ok. Tonight her car was petrol bombed...my car is now melted to shit. Argh!

Fingers crossed that will count as a breach of parole n she'll be asscorted straight back to jail.
The local d*unk has been shouting up at his own window again tonight. Thankfully hes harmless but it is rather amusing hearing him asking himself to let him in. Xxx |

If I get a new car it will cost me a fortune. The payout will take months and won't cover the finance I have outstanding on my car.

If it gets written off it should be pretty quick actually because theres no third party insurance to argue the toss with. If the police find out who did it take them to court for damages and that sorts out the outstanding finance. And even though your neighbour is the victim generally the police relocate parolies that are subjected to extreme violence in an attempt to stop reoffending |

Ive been there before. Had my car stolen and burnt out because they thought it was my next door drug dealers! got a hire car for 21 days and they paid out before then because there wasnt any other insurers involved |

I do recommend when buying a car on finance people think about gap insurance
Who old was the car ?
Some insurers will replace the vehicle with new if under a year old ( or even 2 years old - where I work)

I used to sell gap insurance so I thought about it. And the car is aged.
I won't have a courtesy car unless the car is assessed as repairable and that will now take 24-48 hours despite being advised this morning that it will be done today. |
