What's your favourite brand of peanuts?

Do you like peanut butter?

Are you insa- I mean, do you dislike peanuts in general?

Some facts about peanuts that were missing from your life but you can now finally know:

- The US has had two peanut farmers elected as Presidents: Thomas Jefferson and Jimmy Carter. Their nuts were obviously powerful.

- Peanuts are grown underground. This could mean they have many dark secrets.

- Consistency/texture preferences for peanut butter vary from place to place, and even from sex to sex - a very telling thing relating to a recent thread is that men prefer chunky, whilst women prefer creaminess.

- In case you missed it another thread, there are six cities in the US called Peanut.

- I'm bastardising these facts from a website called the National Peanut Board. If that's not weird enough, they include a link about peanuts being good luck for NASA. This link leads to a non-existent page. Is this a peanut conspiracy?

I really like peanut butter. Generally. Coated in chocolate. In stuff. In the form of Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cup, the king of all ice creams now Cherry Garcia isn't readily available. Sorry.

I think it just makes you feel fuller. It's high in protein.

I might need to eat more to experience weight loss. I'm not the best advert for this claim.

As part of a balanced diet it will help lose weight because the body.

Web md says.

Small fat cells produce a "good guy" hormone called adiponectin, which makes the liver and muscles sensitive to the hormone insulin, in the process making us less susceptible to diabetes and heart disease.

When people become fat, the production of adiponectin slows down or shuts down, setting them up for disease, according to Fried and others.

Not if you eat 2kgs a week though.

Peanut butter.

The food of Satan.

Even the smell makes me want to barf.

Nuts, of most varieties however, nom nom nom nom. Not too many as I'm slightly allergic and they make the inside of my mouth and my tongue swell up if I have more than just a couple.
