Good evening Friends , Fabbers and Forumites.
I hope you have all had a jolly splendid evening.
Pooch and I had a simply marvellous walk and we are home now for tea and toast.
Today I had a planned visit from my insurance/pensions guy. To be honest I have been dreading it. Two hours with a chap trying to sell me stuff and at the same time telling me i am spending too much and should be saving for my dotage.
Well he arrived , took one look at my record collection. Asked to inspect it , and wow . He is in a band , we know the same people, like the same music.
What a treat we talked for two hours about gigs , played records swapped numbers and some cd's . Cool chap.
In stead of him telling me to spend less on music he gave me some idea for new purchases. Cool guy.
So my question to you this being is
Have you been dreading something and it turned out to be better than you thought?

I spent the day with my mum, son and grandson and i got none dribbly kisses. Beautiful day"

Beautiful post op. Silver linings is what makes the difference...when you find those, it changes the view.
A great instant connection like that is amazing when it happens and have been lucky enough to have met some great people like that.
A friend of mine had a minor car tip and anther friend had just received a gift of cash and gave her half (not a small sum) to fix the car. I love pay it forward or turn it around stories. |
