"hated: "simples"-should be left to the bloody meerkats
liked: "Jog on"-Dunno why its funny, suppose its the same as "on yer bike""
I used the expression 'jog on' in a post today because when I used it in a sentence over the weekend and my offspring were in fits of laughter because they don't associate me with that sort of terminology. I'm experimenting with it in various tones of voice and situations |

""at the end of the day" GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"
I don't like that either because it's one of those addictive things - if someone says it while you chat it starts off a chain reaction and its entered your brain so you keep saying it in the conversation and irritating yourself to death.
The response of 'it gets dark' when you accidentally say at the end of the day is just as bad!! |

I like 'simples' and can't abide 'jog on'
Jog on is like some sort of teenage boy insult... someone (older than me) said it to me the other day cause he didn't like my response to his badly worded one liner. Made me giggle that a grown man would use that particular expression.
I hate the P word. They are and always will be knickers! |

Local government speak like 'delivered'. For example, "We have delivered the new bin service on time."
Better to say "The new bin system was introduced on time".
Language inflation - let's stamp it out |

I've never seen this written but when people say "...no but, yeah..."
I don't mean in the Little Britain way.
Some half-wits can't even string one word into a sentence without getting it wrong!
If you mean yes, say yes. Don't precede it with the word no.
It's easy.
It most certainly is not 'simples'. Aaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!!! |

I agree it is derog.tory. To refer to a woman as 'the fem' is like shes just genitals and nothing else. Its not hard to look at the profile and refer to her by her name. I'll shut up as im starting to rant but I really dislike that term.

I agree too as most of the couples on here have play names anyway why not just use them?? It makes it all a bit businesslike and impersonal for me. |

So many things to put here, but in the hope that i don't come over as a sociopath:
"Too much Information" - was quite funny in Pulp Fiction, but having it trotted out by that horrible breed that can only apparently talk in other people's films quotes sets my teeth on edge.
"Don't even go there" Yes thanks Springer for bringing this to our attention.
"Simples"- again, annoying.
"At the End of the day" - i think lots of people hate this.
"Epic" "win" "fail" any combination of these things. What does it even mean?
when "Get off it " suddenly is mutated into "Get off of it" - i think this is an Essex thing. Still awful
"whatever" said in THAT way- you know the one- again comes from watching too much chav TV.
OK - need to go and find my inhaler....
