I really wanted a crisp butty, but had no crisps..... But I did have quavers, not a good substitute.
What have you substituted...... And which worked and didn't work ???
Fancied an 'apple crumble' once. Made it with ordinary (not cooking) apples and crushed digestive biscuits + a little sugar and butter for the crumble.
Tasted horrible.
