As a former skinny guy i know the feels op.
Im now a PT with a degree on nutrition.
Wanting to gain weight always seems to get rediculed.
I believe its just as bad to be underweight as over weight.
For a man it can be very difficult.
If you are anything like me, eating junk food, sweets, takeaways etc. Wont work.
Lots of good quality carbs, a protein source and of course fats.
You may think you eat a lot but you probably dont.
Get yourself the "myfitnesspal" app which has a calorie counter in it, set it up for weight gain and you get a calorie target for the day.
This method works !!!
Just make sure the calories you consume are quality and not empty junk.
If someone put up a post because the were obese and wanted to lose weight there would be no piss taking.
Its ok to laugh at skinny peeps tho....go figure.
Best of luck op.
Sorry for the thesis haha |

Well said
I was a very skinny child/teenager and it was awful. All the name calling, people assuming I must be anorexic. It's just as bad as being over weight. Nothing I did helped me gain weight.
Everything changed for me when I had children. I couldn't believe how easy it was to gain weight, I piled it on.
I've now lost a fair amount of it and I'm happier.
Just need to be careful how you put on the weight, if it goes on your tummy it's a bugger to shift. |

I would imagine that healthy gains would be similar to loss of about 1-2lbs a week. So it won't happen overnight.
Good luck OP, never had this issue myself, but my other half does x |

It's preferable to do this in a healthy, sustainable way, that is focused on the longer term.
It's potentially stupid to just gain it via any possible method, at any pace, whilst not understanding your physiology and what effects you could be having upon your body and health.
I would seriously consider a private medical consultation, so that you understand the effects and major risks. A personal trainer could help, once you understand the position.
There are many people on fab who have health problems - don't create the conditions so that you're one of them in future. Your body and health is precious and not to be messed with. |

all about calories in and calories deficit,
work out how much your body burns and day, and then consume a caloric overload.
but dont binge it, as its not healthy.

"Thank everyone im 6 ft and weigh 57 kgs not good "
Mashed potatoes and tuna sarnies.
Liquid ice cream plus multivitamins.
If you can afford to buy it weight gain powder and bee pollen tablets helped me when I was younger and trying as they contain all the key vitamins and nutrients.
Good luck

Cracking post pal! Everyone thinks it's easy to do and don't realise it's actually harder than losing it. I've had nutritionists help me and still not managed to put on more than a stone, it doesn't help I love my cardio and done running/cycling events for years so just accepted that's way I'm meant to be. |

What does the Bee pollen do?"
Too much to name on here.
It has huge benefits for the immune system has more protein than any animal product, enzymes for natural growth.
I've been 10.5 stone since I was 16.
I went up to 12 with bee pollen. |

Depends if you just want to bulk up or be more muscular.
I've used metrex muscle and weight gain, as well as cheaper ones.
The gym lads might tell you better but I think they're pretty much the same. |

Weight gain shakes tend to be full of sugars.
Make your own bulk shake very easily.
Protein powder
Oats
Olive oil
Peanut butter
Any fruit..nuts etc you choose.
Cheaper than weight gain shakes and healthier |

You need to keep a diary of everything you are eating
At the end of week 1 weigh yourself if no weight gained had small nails between the other meals you have eaten.
Weigh yourself at end of week 2 and add more food.
Lift weights three times a week
And sleep lots
Keep going to reach your goals |
