I like how the phone was invincible. That was a cool feature. I have a drawer full of our mobile phones from ye olde days. My 10 year old thinks it's hilarious how we didn't even have a colour screen on our phones. That the internet capability was there but useless. That we couldn't download minecraft. |

I sometimes wish phone's were still like that,then maybe the obsession as far as kid's are concerned wouldn't be there. Social media can be great it can also be the devil's work and hugely destroying. |

I used to have the one the size of an army radio set & a grey Motorola walkie talkie looking thing (model 3000 rings a bell)
Rolled a car down a shortcut country lane once while getting the office takaways, no seatbelt, got thrown out with little more than a few aches & cuts. Phone was ringing & I found it in a hedge answered and a voice at the other end shouts "Where's my fcking chicken & chips?"
"Err well it's like this, you know that nice car you just got me boss......."
