not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

I was told they named their children after the first thing they saw after they were born.. running deer etc..

What would be your native name be if you looked out of the window now..

Mine would be Carlsberg delivery..

Can't wait to see who gets crapping dog..

But of I was naming a child now... they'd be PC or Laptop. There's no window here and I'm surrounded by computers.

i have a native american child and she is called sky river...i was also gifted a name by the native americans and thats a power name not up for discussion. not all native children are named this way, some are gifted with a name at birth or later on, but there are as many johns, bens and harrys as in any other part of the world.

why were you called your name? after a father, grandfather? its to imbue you with positive character and attributes and sense of belonging..native americans are no different in this aspect, they want to make their child feel at one with the natural world...

Quite.

Although it might be a fun game, not every Native American child is named foetus.

Seems to be a choice based on the sides of the house either Apricot or Ugly Rusty Panal Van, the second seems more appropriate.
