Women in the street and guys in the gym

It often seems to me that when you're out and about, you notice there seem to be a far higher number of good looking women walking around as opposed to guys (this is coming from a guy who's bi so yes, I'd notice if they were hot), however, in the gym you'll see far more guys with impressive bodies than you will women.
...in summary, I think we need to have gym equipment in the street and fix this issue. |

Ah but it's the men's bodies you're commenting on. Maybe you don't notice them outside the gym because they're not in gym attire.
Maybe those impressive bodies aren't so obvious under regular clothes. |

Come to our gym and you'll not be able to train..a lot of the women who go are absolutely gorgeous! |

It does depend on your gym, the area that you're walking the streets etc.
I throw all the statistics haywire at my gym, though I am in staff mode much of the time.
Of course, our cognitive biases will mean that our perceptions are very skewed - and this unreliable too. |

I used to go to the gym every other day but got bored/lost motivation. Other half bought me a cross trainer and weights, use them every day and get himself to measure and weigh me every week.
Knowing himself, Mr Sixpack without trying is in charge of the scales and tape measure is a great motivator! |

Probably more to do with attire than anything else. Female gym gear can be very unforgiving, where as their civies compliment the lines far better. You are looking at guys bodies, which show much better in gym gear than most civies. |

I get lots of attention in the gym but not as much when out and about. It's purely down to the visual effect of having my physique on display so to speak then covering up when not there.
There's quite a few hot women in the gym too but they look just as hot in a tshirt and jeans. No complaints from me though

Definitely agree with this. And the gym doesn't lend itself to well-styled hair, or well-applied makeup, both of which make women look more attractive. |

yeah i was looking at cheap gyms round here and they don't have much different types of equipment.
might look into going swimming again instead, or maybe join a dance class or something. |

I'm a little bit obsessed with the gym. Go everyday for 90 mins before work. I know I should have rest days but don't. Some very hot guys and girlies in my gym, tho hard to impress them when I've sweat dripping off my nose. |

There's different reasons everyone goes I'd imagine. Though gym guys as the OP suggested are going for a specific look usually. |

The other point is that the gym is more suited to 'improving' the male physique, ie building muscle, as opposed to the myriad of other activities that can be used for a more cardio based fitness than most women prefer. You'll find many more women in the total body/legs,bums,tums and zumba type studio classes. |
