I do not believe in "the one". I have never been under the impression that I can be everything to another human being, nor them to me.
I have a wonderful wife of 18 years, and we continue to explore swinging and non-monogamy together. |

Same here.
At the moment I don't even believe in there being a one I want a long term relationship with (and who wants the same with me, obviously).
I shall wander towards old age growing dusty and cobweb-y on my shelf, with my cats. |

"I don't believe in 'the one'.
Me neither."
That's because you've never met the "One". Once you do, you'll realise how amazing finding and being with the "One" actually is |

And what happens if your 'one' dies young? Or you die, leaving your 'one' all alone? I just can't believe that you wouldn't find love again. There are over 7 billion people on this planet. Do you truly believe you're really only compatible with one of them?
And I say this as someone who has found someone I can connect with on a level I've never experienced before, I love him like I've never loved any partner. |

You're right, I haven't met "the One" because "the One" is a naive, immature and overromanticised concept. Instead I have met, and am married to, a man I want to spend the whole of my life with and be little old people together one day.

I met the One and we were happily married for 12 years, now divorced but best friends for life
From now on it's just filth and fun and living in the moment which I must admit is next best thing to being with the One |

"Then they are not the one... Simples "
Sometimes being the one, doesn't always mean you'll spend the rest of your life together.
Sometimes it might be that person changes you, into a better person, or changes your life for the better immeasurably.
That no matter who you end up with after, they will never have such a profound effect on your life. |

There is never a "one" I adore Paul and we are happy together but I have been married before, at the time I thought that person was the "one". To me the "one" is inline with monogamy, which I also don't believe it. I love Paul. Have I loved other yes. Have i lusted after other.. Hell yes! Luckily paul is on the same stance as me, we see our future together but like enjoying it with others too |

Having met you two I'd have to say I think Paul is certainly the one for you. It's an undeniable chemistry and the love oozes from you both. Soppy for fab but it's true

There are a few of those I've had in my life... But to me they are not the one, or else I'd still be with them. I see the one as your ultimate soul mate. If you find that, no other can take their place, but I believe the ultimate soul mate feels the same about you. It's not a one way system. Cheesy, but that's my belief |
