In escaping from the rain yesterday, escaped into Starbucks, and actually found an armchair in a quiet corner... So thought a perfect opportunity to browse fab. However the website was blocked as being 'inappropriate to browse in a public place'. Moral of the story.. Don't arrange to meet in a Starbucks, as if your meet is running late, you'll not find out! |

"You can get programs on you phone that hide the site allowing you to use the WiFi in places like that. Saying that it is a lot of hassle..... "
EE used to randomly block this site as 18+. Someone suggested using Opera Mini and I've had no issues since. |

It's not appropriate to be on an adult site in a coffee shop or public place, where others might be able to see what you are looking at. There are children in places like that. It's not rude for establishments to block adult sites.

I'll go on whatever site I like if I'm having coffee somewhere. If other people's children are rude enough to be looking at a stranger's phone that's not my problem and their parents should be having a word with themselves.
I get why they block it on the wifi though, and that's fine by me. |

I usually boycott these large coffee chains.
Is it due to the undesirable rise of global multi commercialism? Is it due to anti green issues involving their containers? Is it due to the sourcing of their products? Is it due to taxation or pay policies? Is it due to blocking fab on their Wi-Fi?
NO.....I JUST HATE COFFEE! |

I use the Hotspot Shield free app so can browse anywhere.
And yes I discreetly look on Fab when I'm enjoying a private cup of coffee in the corner of Starbucks/Costa/wherever. There's rarely any children around, but if one of the little darlings even gets within 6 feet of me I am perfectly capable of closing my phone case. They'd need bionic vision to see the 1" square pics on my phone screen!
Same goes for adults...except the nosey fuckers shouldn't be looking in the first place! |

My phone screen is bright and visible enough for people to see photos clearly from a couple of feet away. Which is why I don't use Fab in a public place. If a child,or even an adult, walked past and glanced in my direction they would be able to see the photos on my screen. I take responsibility for what is visible on my phone the same as if I were reading a porn magazine with photos. |

No it doesn't "
I had a meet from here who I couldn't find in a busy shopping centre with a few close exits. He sent me his location and I used my maps to find him. It was quite funny following my dot on the screen to get to him. |

Mine isn't particularly visible but I still take steps to ensure whatever I'm looking at is for my _iewing only. The only way a child would see what I'm looking at is if they purposefully looked at my screen to see it, which isn't my responsibility.
I do hide site images whilst out and about though, I can go a few hours without looking at tits |

Same in turkey, funny as where my parents live you can see up the mountains and one night I could see lights mid way up and activity (kind of) and apparently some of the men go up there to have drinks and other activitys occasionally. It does happen even in the strictest Muslim countries x |

The opera desktop has advert blocking and vpn options they've developed, that supports quicker, more private browsing. I think opera mini for phones may now do ad blocking too but not vpn yet.
I'm not a tech expert but vpn supports browsing that's secured and not able to be monitored by general technology. |

All coffee chains have an "adult" content filter enabled to prevent misuse of their complimentary wi-fi by minors or customers who may make a nuisance by playing content that would cause offence .
Starbucks took flack a few years ago in the press for not having filters enabled that allowed underage customers (who had content lock enabled on their mobile data connection already) to circumvent via using free public WiFi to access xxx and age inappropriate social networking sites.
It makes sense, as annoying to some as it is. Just upgrade your data allowance to make provision for your fab browsing habits beyond the range of your household WiFi signal. |

It also depends how it's set up and how you login to the Wi-Fi.
Best thing to do is just use your own data if it is a real concern.
I wouldn't worry too much. Don't stress about it. |

oops!
They can but if it's a large workplace are only likely to if they are specifically looking.
If you didn't use a work phone it's harder for them to track...but not that hard.
Either get a new number or just switch off Wi-Fi at work.. |

If your phone automatically switches to using wifi, disable the feature. Or just use a vpn at work, if they don't require you to log in, as anybody could be using it for anything
