I'm truly curious as I'm watching the new comedy special on netflix....do Europeans find Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy funny? I know that's not really a yes or no question due to personal tastes...lots of Americans don't find them funny either but the differing sense of humor fascinates me

Laugh outloud funny? No more like a grin and hey i know people like that, but humor is subjective

Central

I struggle with a lot of what seems like a thin line between slapstick theater and some American comedy shows. I sometimes feel I'm being spoon fed the ingredients leading to the gag, so it doesn't get missed.

I've not seen this show. What do you think of UK comedy op?

The special i was referring to is stand-up, a different dynamic than you find in sitcoms or movies. As far as UK comedy...i honestly don't know, i don't think I've seen any and definitely know that ive never heard an English stand-up.
