I'm fooked. Just built myself a bookcase. Only the third time I've built flat pack. Got the bottom shelf upside down n the sides back to frount plus couldn't get the back to stay on but for a novice it was a dam good attempt. After a lot of swearing a cracked nail and a few tears it's put togther the right way round and most of my books are on it.
Got another one to build tomorrow. Hopfully that will take less than 6hrs. xxx |

I feel your pain. I went to ikea today....bad move, so busy....and got my son a 5 drawer chest of drawers and a double wardrobe. I'm quite pleased it only took 3hrs to do the drawers and for once all the holes lined up!!!! The wardrobe can wait though x |

Is that all, yesterday I slept in a bed that wasn't even bought until tomorrow, had to get up 3 hours before I went bed....and you tell kids that today and they won't believe you.... |

I like building stuff from scratch, getting the timber and designing my own custom furniture and building it all. I build all kinds of stuff......bit nerdy. |

I do. I open everything. Lay all the bits/screws/dowels out. Figure out which pieces are A,B,C etc. Scrutinise instructions..........then I'm off |

I having a relatively easy BH DIY wise. I've recently built a garden office, a 38sqm deck and shifted 16t of topsoil to level off my garden. I'm enjoying the toil now!! |

I bought a chimenea for the garden about a month ago, opened the box, read the instructions and thought that's enough for today. Following day, took it out the box, read instructions again and thought fook that..... still waiting on it getting put together |

I tryed putting my kids scooter together last xmas hour an a half later i was looking at my fella with a wheel in each hand an that look (you know what youll get if you do it for me) scooter got put together and my fella got a little treat |

I enjoy building things feels like accomplishment at the end (as seems as my ex thought i was useless). Built a daybed on friday (flat pack) and 2 units to cover my gas and electric cupboards (from scratch last week).
