I'm fooked. Just built myself a bookcase. Only the third time I've built flat pack. Got the bottom shelf upside down n the sides back to frount plus couldn't get the back to stay on but for a novice it was a dam good attempt. After a lot of swearing a cracked nail and a few tears it's put togther the right way round and most of my books are on it.

Got another one to build tomorrow. Hopfully that will take less than 6hrs. xxx

I've been up for 27 hours today trying to build a bed. I've only stopped for a mouthful of coal and it still can't be slept in.

I've built flat pack furniture, put in fencing, mixed the concrete, mixed tile cement, built decks and all sorts.

I stay calm and follow instructions so it all goes well

I do. I open everything. Lay all the bits/screws/dowels out. Figure out which pieces are A,B,C etc. Scrutinise instructions..........then I'm off

I having a relatively easy BH DIY wise. I've recently built a garden office, a 38sqm deck and shifted 16t of topsoil to level off my garden. I'm enjoying the toil now!!

And the information that it should take 30 mins to put together, what's that all about? Three days, one divorce and a traumatised cat later....
