Dear Friends, Fabbers and Forumites.

I trust you’re having the most splendid bank holiday, I know some of you have to work and you are in our thoughts as we gad about promenading in our flip flops like the Toffs we are. We doff our caps to you and say a cheery Ah Hoy Hoy.

Today I decided to join the hoypaloy and visitors in wandering the streets and shopping precincts of my local town. A hubbub of the great British public all seeking that certain novelty item to return home for Mrs Jones at number 27 , no expense spared as long as it’s under £2;50.

I popped in to HMV to pick up the LP version of the new Radiohead album , Moon Shaped Pool . a rather brilliant piece of recorded excellence.

On browsing what was in the top 40 albums to my utter surprise and joy I saw the welsh band Budgie at number 23. Budgie one of my favourite teenage bands back in the charts,, how delightful . Without a scintilla of thought for the shoppers around I let out a whoop of pleasure.

So chums my questions is this

What Bands from your youth would you like to see make a comeback?

Taff and Pooch

great choice with Budgie, Taff. I saw the proper Quo line up reunite a couple of years back, but I would pay good money to see Gabriel/Hackett era Genesis

Considering most of my childhood bands have made a come back over the past few years it's hard to find one, the best one was new kids on the block, full filled a childhood mission of meeting and seeing them in concert.

Probably the only ones that haven't that I liked at bros!!

Saw the Alarm twice this year once on their own tour and when they supported the Stranglers awesome just wish they would release a new album

One of my biggest regrets is not having got to see The Jam live, and sadly it's one that will never happen either, whilst Weller and Foxton appear to have rebuilt bridges, sadly the ones between Rick and Paul are well and truly burned never to be rebuilt.

sadly never going to happen after the court case, and Johnny is great on his own, as is Mozzer. Saw the Smiths at Brixton in 86, on Queen is Dead tour

Yeah and PW has made it clear he'll never do it anyway. He plays a few Jam songs in his set now, and Bruce keeps the flag flying with FTJ, who are always on the road.

They were good live but not spectacular, only saw them at Donnington Park in 1984, too many solos, too few songs

Yeah must get to see FTJ, every time they're local to us, there's always something else happening that I'm already doing. To be fair PW has been slotting Jam songs into his set from the start of his solo career, can remember seeing him at the Mean Fiddler and other small pubs/clubs round London when he started out on his own and didn't have much solo material and the set was full of Jam/TSC gems like Man In The Cornershop, Carnation and Headstart For Happiness.

Other than them think most of my wishlist has already got back together, some more successfully than others, do think it's time The Specials called it a day though.

Oooh one more I've thought of....The Housemartins...never saw them live but would love to.
