not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

Apparently if I don't agree to the sharing of my mobile number from whatsapp to faceache I'll not be able to use the app...

To those who contact me through whatsapp please use an alternative whatsapp and faceache can fuck off .. I don't want more specific advertising I'd prefer/want zero advertising

I'd now like a two fingered emoji to zuckerberg.

I've declined that too, but whatsapp is still working fine.

The message I had said if I didn't agree from the 26 September it would stop working..

That's fine (Mr zuckerberg) I'll use an alternate and uninstall whatsapp and as for faceache I never use it.

WhatsApp works without the new sharing option.

I don't have the Facebook app on my phone. On the odd occasion I want to use Facebook I'll use my desktop pic which has zero connection to my phone.

even if it isn't spam i reckon you can ignore it.

they tried charging everyone 99p a year to use whatsapp and it never stopped working if you didn't pay. although that 99p message might have been spam also.

Possible, with the news that the data commissioner is looking into the legality of sharing people's personal information I'm guessing they're trying to get ahead of the curve by getting your consent .. you ain't getting mine..

I accepted it so I could continue using whatsapp, but I don't use the Facebook app, only use it in an incognito browser window so they have nothing to share it with.

Na it's an update, you'll get it eventually.

I can't say I'm remotely bothered by it.

You have 30 days to remove the permission you've given it.

It tracks location, times, contacts and all sorts of metadata which it uses to combine with Facebook data for profiling.

It can link to Facebook data either if you have the Facebook app on the same phone as WhatsApp or if you've added your mobile phone number to Facebook.

Have a look at the "Google duo" app. It will probably go the same was as whatsapp in time but its a great idea Includes a face time type thing that works over wifi

Theres also google messenger.
