do you grow your own.....
Jump to: Newest in thread
It's more than a little challenging to say the least, as I now live in a top floor flat. When I lived in my bungalow and had a large garden, yes I did. Used to have a few fruit trees as well so made use of those, apart from the cherries cos the pesky birdies got to those first |

I haven't this year but I usually grow tomatoes, chillies and courgettes

Became obsessed with growing tomatoes this year. As a result had a glut, cooked up a huge batch of marinara sauce with them tonight for freezing, ironically during Gardeners World. |

I benefit from someone else's allotment. The cauliflowers were fantastic this year. The peas are always a favourite straight from the pod. We're still waiting for the sweetcorn and the tomatoes are just ripening.

I grow lots of fruit and veg, love the fresh taste of good food. I'm lucky enough to have a big garden, can be hard work at times, but rewarding.... Anybody want any tomatoes? I have loads spare ! Lol. |

How easy are chillies to grow?"
I cheated, I got two starter plants from an online gardening site...as I had tried before and its quite tricky to get them established from seed without a greenhouse...got loads of chillies off them eventually and had to give half of them away |

Yes, we have 6 raised beds. 2 for strawberries, 2 lots of potatoes salad and normal, beetroot, spring onions. The beans were mullered by the beasties this year. We've got tomatoes, cucumbers and chillies in the greenhouse. Rosemary, thyme, sage, chives and garlic in an old water feature. And mint on its in in a pot
And an apple tree.
Proper green fingers me |

You grow potato salad?
That's awesome
We'll swap a cucumber for some beans. Ours didn't make it, nor the courgettes. |

my folks and grandparents used to have allotments when I was a kid love picking peas, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes. Think I ate more than I picked and was always cover in dirt. But it was good fun I miss it. |
