Endearing is very much in the eye of the beholder. It's normally down to something someone does unconsciously that others like. Telling them about it kind of ruins it. So I don't know what people find endearing about me; but I do know what I find endearing about some other people.

There's nothing romantic about a person who cries at everything. It makes it mean nothing when they cry at something significant.

Someone crying at a funeral is meaningful. It's significant partly due to its rarity. I don't think crying at every little thing is endearing in the slightest either. Neither is attempting to have a personal dig at someone who simply disagrees with you.
