It's a good musing. I have met some very handsome and good looking guys (disclaimer - in my opinion) who haven't had public face pics. But not a single one of them has ever claimed to be handsome or good looking. |

Think he might be considering birds, look at mallards and peacocks for examples. Also fish; the guppy being a prime example. Also the lion; what a handsome haircut!
Personally I'm about average. Well, I'm shorter, less athletic, and more northern than the handsome, trim, 6ft blokes from the SE. |

Some male animals aren't particularly good looking they attract females by industrious endeavours. Bower bird for one and there's a tiny fish that constructs incredible patterns in the sand to attract his female. |

Yes thats very true but then there's the seahorse where the male and female look very similar but the male carries the young until there born and then fucks them off and mates again within hours of giving birth!...
It's the numbers game, have loads and you don't need to worry about looking after them as you can have enough to insure a few make it, or have one and die making sure they make it!.
It's belived that female humans developed tits to mimic the attractive arse?....I dunno I've always been a leg man myself |

Bowers build brightly coloured nests to attract females...
Flowers are colourful and smell nice to attract bees , if they self pollinate they don't need to be colourful Or smell nice, it's just wasted energy.

Nobody knows why we are the only species to have tits, but it's interesting to think about.
Its also a little wierd that we prioritse our kids over our own life, when they need that. Like what is the point in just creating more of your own species if you are gonna have them take away from your own life and therefore live less? Hope that makes sense, i can't word it. But the tournament species doesn't really lose any of their own life, usually. |

It's the puffer fish n they take great care crafting geometric patterns in the sand to attract a mate.

I'm not offended and I don't need to lighten up. There may have been an element of tongue in cheek in my post. Even if I did claim on my profile to be gorgeous, it wouldn't negate my original point. Some of them probably are handsome and attractive they just don't want a public face photo on display. A man who is handsome and attractive will always do just fine, and doesn't need to prove himself to the circling masses. No one has to prove anything to anyone, if they think they're good looking then there's nothing wrong with them saying so.
And while beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, everyone has an idea where they fall on that continuum. |

Hmmm it would seem like we've got a bit of mandrill sexual heigerachy going on in this thread.
Mandrills are quite interesting as only the dominant colourful male gets to sire the female but the subordinate males also get to fuck while acting as guards over the females for the dominate males!.

i haven't a clue as to my looks I've been told by some in my life I'm a good looking guy and ive been told by others I'm not that good looking.
ive met woman who took a chance on me off of my pictures saying lets meet john but no promises as your not looks wise the type of guy i go for with some who have said this things have become very hot with others they haven't .
so going by my own experiences i have no true idea as to my standing on a scale one to ten of my face looks if i was to put a number on it myself id say i was a 6 .
so as a experiment i make this offer pm me and i will send a face picture for women and guys to rate if i get to 20 i will report back the average of the twenty .
this will give a true reflection of my standing on the scale of one to ten as long as those rating me are truthful that is |
