In future blur your tats in your pictures with a photo app to be on the safe side I know that's no consolation for the terrible thing that has just happen to you all you can do now is do all you can to make sure it never happens again . |

My ex did the same to me but my mum "owned" him. She said " maybe if you had looked after her better she wouldn't of strayed".

Sadly thats how some people function here when they suss Id. All you can do is limit what you put online to be identified and when you dont thats the risk of the sad bastards just here to suss out who's who locally 
I would just tell family I aint got a clue wtf they're on about. Maybe also rein in the profile just in case the username has been passed on.

I had it many years ago when I was single, my profile was printed out and posted through my friends door (had loads of face pics)
Her husband wouldn't let her see me and thought I was discusting to be meeting strangers for sex.
you have to be aware that if your profile is recognisable you run the risk of people being malicious, it's a sad world and I still didn't find out who did it |

Anyone worth being in your life would say nothing to anyone about your private life after they stumbled on it.
If someone was in danger, at risk vulnerable etc then quiet words might be needed in some direction. Anything other than that is bang out've order.

I'd put my profile to private, remove photos that might be used for identification and progressively relaunch my profile.
I'd also ask for more information, so that I could get to the bottom of the problem and sort it out.
Consider changing your profile location too for a while. Good luck! |

The world is full of them hun, that's why I have a very large 'Block List' I very rarely let local people in and check my 'Who's Local' list daily to block all locals... unless I'm intrigued.
It's great, your junk mail is cut by about 2 thirds and you know whoever messages you isn't just some 'Interfering Twat' that has nothing better to do than try to spy on their friends or neighbours, so they can spew their bile in the local shop or pub! They are jealous, they are jealous because you have an exciting life and they don't. They are jealous because maybe you get a lot of attention for whatever reasons (probably because your just a nice person) and they don't and never will.
That's why they do it...

I hope your mother wasn't too upset at finding out that a 'friend' was such a low life who would try to hurt you (and her).
But a) there is no law against being on Fab
b) you're over 18.
I'm sure your mum felt the same way.
It was an extremely dirty trick to involve your mother, she probably only wants your happiness anyway.
An ex of mine searched out and contacted my daughter and told her all about my 'shameful secrets'....she told him to get lost..she's adult enough not to be fazed like that.
He set up a profile on here using a pic of me ..I got it and him removed.
The people trying to expose or embarrass others, are the ones who end up looking stupid in the end. |
