friend requests from people who never speak?

is it just me or do others request a friend invite and then never ever reply to a message that you send....what's up with that? or is it just the effect i have on people lol (none of your sarcasm please)  |

I have chatted to some people I'd like to befriend in order not to blind request and they show initial interest and chat back and reply with nice emails then nothing more from them so its difficult to know which way to play it on this site. I think a "Fellow Chatterbox" flag next to the verified flag and member medals might help!!! |

hmmmm, i still don't understand y people keep you as a friend, but still never attempt to make contact or reply. are these the ones that just waste other's time? either way, i've just deleted some on my friends list that have been there for over a month. pffft, whats it like eh  |

I just suggested it. As a way to show if someone displays it they like chatting and exchanging mails. If they dont have it they like to add friends for future reference or to show they are interested but don't expect any mails in the meantime.... |

We started the same sort of thread in the other forum.
Basicly fed up of invites and no messages, even though we send them ourselves.
So we have adopted this practice.
Accept invite.
Reply with message.
No answer from the invitee within 4 days, they get deleted and blocked.
Not replying to a message obviously means they don't want to meet at any point, so why have them as friends??
Our friends list is for people we have met or are going to meet.
Our hotlist is for watching people who we believe could be potential meets for us in the future. |

I am always getting friendship requests from people i dont know and finally after being here for 17 months i have worked out why.
The majority of requests are in the morning so i reckon they wake up with a hard on, typical bloke, need something sexy to look at whilst they wank, see private and think there is more on offer than those displayed as public. I just delete as i am not accepting anyone that i havent chatted to |

That seems a bit of a long winded way to go around getting some porn to look at. Signing on. Making a friends request in the hope the private pics arent of the object of their affection on holiday in the lakes... then awaiting a response for entrance to the private pics. They can just click onto any porn site and get guaranteed wank material.

If your on someones friends list...you can still mail even if they are hidden .
I used to have loads on and it was simply wasted time. I think some do it in order to look at ya pics.
So now only normally add those i have either met in person, spoken to...saves a lot of hassle |

We send people on our firneds list a general 'hello how you doing? etc'' messenger once in a while...if they cant be arsed to reply we just delete them as they obviously have no interest in us...
