Ok after team gb did so well in the Olympics who is looking forward to the paralympics??
I do actually prefer them to the Olympics in all honesty. I think it could be a great games for team gb.
What do you think?? |

Will all depend on how many actually get to compete when there's so many cuts being threatened to the event.
I hope it's as big a success for team GB as the main event was. |

Very true. I find it a bit hard to swallow the cuts being made simple that the Olympics doesn't run out of money. If they can't complete it in the budget they have then they should cut some events out.
Para sport is so underfunded in most countries it's deplorable! I think it should be given just as much money and time and also airtime on t.v as regular sports.

Should the Paralympics be integrated into the Olympics? Does having 2 separate events make it seem that Paralympics are treated as second class? It would be a logistical nightmare and the athletes village would have to be that much bigger etc, but should it be done? |

Yes I'm looking forward to it too.
I can't see it topping London though. We have a much better infrastructure than Brazil to cope with all the specific needs of para sports.
I hope it goes well for all the people who have been working hard to make it happen. |
