One. Put me off for life - I was about 12. Not one has passed my lips since and I'm relatively pleased as I'd imagine the amount of money I've *not* subsequently spent on ciggies runs into the thousands 
Chocolate and cake are my vices (other than causual encounters off of sex sites of course) |

Probably around 30 on a d*unken day/night out. Started as most do by trying to fit in with the cool kids. Considering I was a well built child with weird teeth and NHS glasses, I desperately wanted to fit in and was accepted totally by the smokers..... |

Probably 40 started when in care at about 12/13. like a prick I wanted to be 1 of the lads. I even remember the 1st time I managed to inhale a drag without choking. Still 1 of the most stupid things I've ever done and by far the hardest to stop. Thank God for vapping |

The (f) here jo am not sure we can discuss the first part of your question here or not but i did indulge for well over 15 years on a daily basis many times i would say to myself right am gonna stop and would really mean it unfortunately my partner at the time and friends would be still puffing away when i got home from work and i would automatically end up joining them it was the norm 
I split up with the ex and moved away from the area from that day i never felt the need again  not exactly a tip but thats how i stopped as for tobacco i still smoke  |
