it is over a month since the devastting earthquake and Tsunami.I work for a japanese company here in the UK and we had a collection in the company to show our concern and support for them .we very quickly raised over a thousand pounds and communicated this to the parent company in Japan asking where they would like the donation to be sent ..we received a very surprising reply ,thanking us but not to worry , they were not in need of donations and to donate the money to our local branch of the red cross ..needless to say our local branch was totally delighted by a fairly large donation and have promised to put it to very good use ....we have a dilemma tho ? should we tell people who donated generously that the money didnt go to the earthqake releif ????? |

yeah of course at their own request and japan is being quite sensible
its better to pump money into the aid machines that mobilise in such events - as on the very day i think it was 36 ish billion got wiped off their markets from profitting from it
the entire cost will be 300 billion or more so send it to them direct they pay the bills - send it to the aid systems direct they get more medicines - tents - basics etc which is by far better |
