I would wait a month... there are some fantastic duel processor android phones coming out....
In fact there are a lot of new good phones out over the next 6 weeks.. but if your not bothered about having the lastest tech.. lost of phones are being made cheaper as they know the new ones are coming out.
I have had an HTC for the past 3 years now... currently the Hero.. and It would take one hell of a phone for me to swap it for.. it just does everything I need it too..
I am not an iphone fan.. and have had a play with all of them.. except the one coming out shortly.... The iphone you never get as good a deal on contract either.. Will they finally have the bugs fixed with the new one I ask myself..
New nexus2 is a good phone.. as is the new samsung galaxy ( cant remember what exact model but the latest one)
I cant talk about mp3 and phone as I have an ipod touch ( hence I know I couldnt live with an iphone as a phone) as my mp3 player..and a nano..
Blackberry torch is very good too.. but I would miss my Android platform.. so easy to use, free apps.. all the apps I have for my ipod are on my htc too..
I am on the net on my phone now.. only thing is check battery life.. but I know the new motorola that is coming out has a 27% bigger battery capacity than previous ones..

"im presuming that the internet works via the phone signal which is extremely poor where i live - so another consideration ??"
I use Vodafone and have a Sure Signal box at home. Links to the WiFi and gets a 3G signal in the house.
IPhone lover - there wa a thread by DirtyGirl a couple of weeks ago when she got hers, might be interesting to read and see how much she enjoyed hers?
Difficult decision though! |

I'm sorry, but imho you've made a big mistake. Nokia has lost the plot, announced today that they're making hundreds redundant in Finland, Denmark and the UK, they've missed out big time on the 'smart phone' revolution. Their existing Symbian OS has been discontinued as the new big chief is ex MS Windows and they're switching to the new Windows Mobile 7 OS.
Somebody mentioned £35 a month, for a decent mid-range phone and contract that's way too much at the moment.
Just switched from an HTC on WinMob 6.5 to an HTC Desire on Android, the difference is incredible! Everything works so quickly! |
