Why do people take offence at people looking at their profiles?
It's what it's there for.

Maybe they're just shit at geography, OP? Or having a mooch. Or planning on visiting your area. Or they've read a forum post you wrote. Or following a veri trail. If you have an active profile; people outside of your preferences will sometimes look. No point getting stressed about it. |

Many reasons, including people that travel and may want to size up the opportunities or competition. I sometimes click on forum users by mistake, when meaning to click post or to get to know users.
Some people struggle with profiles, so _iew others to help them improve their standards.
