...in public today.
So as some of you know I have a new little nippy car...but today was the first time driving our family car.
Drove to the high street as I was taking things to donate to the local charity shop. Parked on a hill facing down it. No problem I hear you say...
Well trying to reverse as the car in front was parked too close and completely forgot that the reverse is an up and across to the left ..what was I doing
...i am in 6th gear trying to reverse and panicking because I'm getting closer and closer to the car in front.
Having had to call Hubby to come and help. But I was very lucky as two gentleman from the Barber shop were stood watching me .. (probably laughing at me) one came over and offered his help. I was much obliged. Although feeling rather embarrassed.
But after driving off and parking in a locall supermarket realising my mistake suddenly felt very stupid indeed!!
So what moment if any have you wanted the world to open up and swallow you whole fabbers? |

A few years ago, before I had my kids, I bought a lovely flowing summery dress that i felt absolutely gorgeous in and gave me so much confidence. I went to Meadowhall in it one day and as I went to exit the elevator my dress got caught in the doors, the elevator took off and I was just left standing there in nothing but my underwear (thank god it was the good stuff and not my Bridget Jones pants). My friend along with most passers by found it hilarious, one guy kindly borrowed me his coat while I went to buy a new dress from the closest shop possible. I can laugh about it now but I was mortified when it happened |
