interesting, I think all the negatives that come from people watching too much porn is usually down to that persons level of maturity and not being able to differentiate between reality and fantasy.
Porn is pretty much how i stumbled across this lifestyle and i think it has opened my eyes and allowed me to explore my own sexuality and sexual preferences. I think i see this site as a branch of porn in the way that i use it for sex and to try new things. Maybe as a departure from real life every now and then. |

Totally agree.
Porn helped me understand my sexuality better, helped me explore what I liked and think about why.
Nobody is forced to watch porn. If they can't handle it then they should either grow up or turn it off. |

Yeah right, i can see how it may become addictive but its such a first world problem kind of 'addiction'.
I have watched alot of porn from a young age but i still respect women, ive been with women with both hairy bushes and shaved, they are both great. Aslong as its clean and its on someone sexy then its cool. I certainly dont try to recreate a porn set when having sex. Porn hasnt made me disrespectful to women. Its the same argument as saying computer games should be banned because they cause everyone to become a violent psychopath.
Daft.

I for one won't be watching the documentary. It sounds like it'll be full of lazy thinking and pseudo science. Probably a bunch of vanilla types who assume anyone with a kink must have something wrong with them. |

I thought I'd resurrect this thread a little, as the subject of porn has been on my mind lately.
I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion that frequent viewing of porn automatically makes you an asocial, incapable of engaging in anything other than rough porn sex. The notion that regular viewers will more likely objectify women.
However, I do agree that excessive porn use can lead to other problems, like erectile dysfunction. I for one know that I've become quite desensitised over the years, which is why I'm currently trying to cut down on my porn use massively. |

I've not seen the show as I'm in the USA. But, isn't it highlighting that neurophysiological changes occur, because of the use of porn? And that many guys are negatively affected by the consequences. It won't mean that everybody with the same experience will be affected in the same ways, just that a younger generation is somewhat different to older men. |

What neurophysiological changes occur, because of the use of porn? |

I saw brief mention of this topic and haven't studied the research. There appears a possibility of neurotransmitters, erectile dysfunction and porn viewing becoming established - I assume it's more than correlation though. It's likely that someone will elucidate further. If it's a BBC 3 show then I'd not expect great depth - and I haven't seen the show. |

"I haven't watched it but I listened to the radio interviews on Monday.
I was a little shocked at how much porn one of the contributors said he watches.
"
Well there we go, anyone who spends 8 hours a day walking is going to develop a graze even if their mind does stay firm. For the rest of us, a 15 minute tug doesn't turn us into sex zombies |
