Ok so we all know a lot of men don't set the ladies inbox's alight with imaginative messages.
However, are women also guilty of this practice too? Come on men, what's the blandest message you've had?

Most on the forum. It's not something I buy into though....imagination doesn't need to involve a lot of words....I could tell by his seemingly silly response to my seemingly silly message that we were on the same wavelength.....we then went on to have a decent chat....guess my point is first messages aren't overly important (to me anyway) as long as there is something there to respond to. |

If I send messages they are usually pretty crap to be honest.
It's a bit like putting your big toe in the bath before diving straight in!!
If I get a response, all good. If not, who cares
I've responded to messages that have been pretty basic but then I always read profiles before I open a message! |

From non-forumites I normally get simple messages saying something about my pics.
But my pics are the only thing on my profile, so that's all my own doing!
So, if you only get bland opening messages it may be that your own profile isn't giving enough away about you. |

Don't think there's anything wrong with love your profile or pic 
Not sure what people expect us to come up with on here sometimes.

Got a message from a couple last night......"she says bigger than mine"...... Took an exchange of four more messages to realise they were talking about my cock.
Maybe not bland, but a bit random to say the least! |

I word vomit to women (apologies to any ladies I've messaged). I always get a rpely though so  I find all the "hi" messages from women, to me anyway, have been from fake accounts. Most strike a conversation about my picture or status or whatever, I'm rather lucky on the women front  |

It has been demonstrated that goldfishes memory's are considerably better than they are usually credited with.
They can remember things for at least 3 months.

Oh good god - I obsess over the rare messages I do send. I read it back critically and think, "would this be an insta-delete if it were in my inbox?"
It's way harder than I thought to make first contact! Hence preferring the forums |

Although the number of forum users is far lower than the number of fab users, I like that you get a far better indication of personality seeing how they interact and respond to others than just private messaging. I've yet to be stood up by someone I've got talking to via the forums, and meets have always been fun and relaxed, so works for me! |
