Currently 2/3rds of the way through Psychopathic Cultures and Toxic Empires by Will Black
"Will Black outlines up-to-date information about psychopathy and ties it in with insights about powerful psychopaths within influential spheres. He brilliantly integrates anthropological perspectives to applied mental health issues and makes a significant contribution to the subject of psychopathy by advancing the idea of 'psychopathic cultures'"
It's actually a much easier read than it sounds. Very interesting, particularly on modern corporate culture. |

David Eddings "pawn of prophecy"
That's the start of the series.
I also reccomend The Broken Empire series. Forget the author but it's a captivating read |

I've just started re-reading Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin which has so many layers but ultimately serves as a testament to the political genius of Abe Lincoln.
One of the best fiction books on any subject of the last couple of decades |

Books 7, 8 and 9 of the wheel of time are a bit tedious but it gets loads better after that. |

I'm having a re-read of The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, by Jonas Jonasson. His follow up novels are also good fun too. |

The Danny Baker books on which the series with Peter Kay are the best books I've read in ages.
I'd not listen to him on radio or watch him on TV but his books are laugh out loud funny.
Also good is Animal QC by Gary Bell. |
