Just thought I would tell everyone that I am about to enter my 6th week without coffee, not bad going for someone who had anything up to 5 cups before leaving the house in the morning!
A big fat well done to me |

An aunt of mine (shes no longer with us) she actually had an addiction for coffee and was under the Dr for it
At her worst point she was on over 60 cups (well mugs actually) a day
It was amazing ta watch her as much as it was sad to do so xx |

Well done indeed. Did you just go cold turkey or trade down to decaff first? |

Cold turkey, had a bet with my son; he gave up drinking for a week, even went to a pool match and drank , i went without coffee, thoroughly enjoying Redbush tea, no milk either and not missing coffee. In fact that is the bad thing as I am not having enough dairy stuff in my diet now |

I must say it was ridiculous as I couldnt function without it, just need to give up smoking now, then chocolates, sweets, crisps and cakes |

"Unbounded respect. I'm a coffee ground hound. Don't know how I'd manage. More caffeine Mr Christian.
"
I did love it but couldnt function without it, was surviving on coffee and no food on occasions |

For a bet is good. Some folk find it hard to give up caffeine even when the docs advise very strongly that they should. |

Hmmm. Sounds familiar. And probably why I struggle for quality sleep. |

I'm totally the other way round. Only ever drink decaff tea or decaff coffee and maybe only about 3 cups or either in total a week! If I have a cup of coffee somewhere else and they only have fully loaded then I end up with a headache the shakes and feel sick. I dont drink either so caffine really upsets my system |

That was a main reason for giving up, still struggling to sleep though, as not yet used to my memory foam mattress |

As it takes 10 hrs to get out of your system, its probably best not to drink tea or coffee after Noon |

My memory mattress and pillow are rubbish. They've never once been able to tell me where my specs are or whether I've remembered to put the alarm on |

"I have cut down on my coffee but couldnt cut it out all together.
I had to as it was all or nothing
Understand what you mean - could you have decaff instead?"
Not particularly keen on the taste, not strong enough for me |

I'm the opposite, I have to have a big mug of coffee while in bed otherwise I don't sleep |
