no idea but we bought two items similar in every respect save colour and one fitted and the other didn't

Same as shoes I suppose, 2 different pairs both size 10, 1 fits, the other doesn't. That's why I never buy shoes out of catalogues, always end up sending the buggers back

They don't use same mannequins nd each one is different - right pain in the ass I know but that's ur answer

Both say 18 on all of the labels unless of course they cocked up in the factory

Different machinists or from different factories and they use different measurements. I give up trying to guess which size to get.

I've got clothes in my wardrobe ranging from size 10 to size 14, they all fit. I can more or less guarantee that Next 12 petite will fit me any other shop is a guess.

Often companies use different product managers and outsource to differet factories for their different ranges.
