Danny Boy....my grandad used to sing it to me as a child, It was also one of his funeral songs, in fact all 3 songs still break my heart now....Danny Boy, No woman no cry and Unforgettable , I have to leave the room if they come on. I've made myself listen to them to have a massive cry now and then when I feel I need an emotional clean out X |

Wind Beneath My Wings.
Played at my best friends funeral some years ago. The girls and I blubbed like babies and now I avoid the song where possible - it sets me off immediately. I always hated the bloody song too. |

"Bring me sunshine - Morecambe and Wise. One of my father's favourite songs. We had it played at his funeral. So lots of emotions when listening to it. " |

Black by Pearl Jam, reminds me of long lost love.
Johnny Cash's Hurt, as it's so biographical especially when watched with the video.
Lazarus by Bowie. So unbelievable he wrote this knowing his fate |

Never seen the film. I always fear it will break my heart given the above. |

I wanna be like you from jungle book as it was played as we left my cousins funeral after he was tragically taken too early.
I was born to love you again played at the funeral of my friends 6 week old twin girl who died 21 years ago and still I cry as soon as I hear the song. |

I don't like to think of songs that make me cry so instead I'll tell you about two songs that make my happy.
Don't stop believing - for my oldest daugther.
True colours - for my youngest daughter.

"Edelweiss from the sound of music!
Came on once randomly in a pool hall and I had to piss off! It's a sad but happy kind of upset in memory of someone. "
It's a beautiful song. |
